Inspection Doors and Hatches
Our inspection doors and hatches are built similarly.
Everything facing the kiln environment is made of stainless steel, except the rubber seal, which is a P-profile with vulcanized corners—eliminating joints and preventing leaks.
It’s easy to adjust the seal pressure over time as the seal compresses. Spacer washers under the hinge mount can be removed by loosening the screws slightly. The door can be tightened against the frame by adjusting the internal latch plate. For the hatch, simply tighten the handle and adjust the side screws to prevent excessive pressure when stepped on. The hatch frame has two holes intended for attaching a fixed ladder. These holes are sealed with screws and washers upon delivery.
Both the door and hatch can be opened from the inside, even when locked from the outside—a crucial safety feature.
