Inspection doors and hatches

Inspection doors or hatches are exposed to extreme conditions. Not only can the temperature difference between the outer and the inner climate be as much as 130°C, the inner environment is also extremely corrosive and under vapour pressure due to the high process temperature, combined with high relative humidity. The air is fully saturated for long periods.

In order to function in a dry kiln application, the door/hatch must be able to move freely, but still be rigid enough to seal around the edge of the opening. All of the components of the door system must also be able to withstand the climatic loads that they are exposed to during the drying process and not least when the process ends and the door is opened, with very rapid cooling of the door itself as a consequence. For that reason, doors and hatches are manufactured from stainless steel. It is also sealed system with the same sealing system we use for the kiln main doors.

We have doors and hatches that can be opened from the inside even when locked from the outside.

Our experience of delivering inspection door solutions for dry kilns dates back to the seventies, both as a supplier to large dry kiln suppliers and on a proprietary basis.
