Flaps
You invest millions in regulating the climate in your dry kiln.
- It is a waste of money if your flaps are not OK.
The purpose of the flap is to provide a seal around the wood stacks. The seal is important for ensuring that all of the circulating air passes through the sticker lines. If the flaps are broken, the circulated air will slip around the stacks, through the gaps.
It will continue to do this until the air resistance in the gaps is equal to that through the sticker lines in the stacks.
The air that passes the timber reduces the active amount of air that forms part of the process. At lower air volumes, the temperature drop through the timber increases, thereby increasing the moisture content variation.

And it does not end there.
The air that passes the timber mixes with the active air and passes the temperature sensors. The measured climate is not correct and the expensive control system will now exercise its control according to incorrect data.
You must replace damaged flaps immediately the damage is discovered.
Undamaged flaps contribute to reducing energy consumption and increase the quality of the drying.
We deliver customised flaps, fitted in cut aluminium profiles. Ready to screw to the wall. If you need fixing screws and expanders, ask us.
If you prefer to do the work of cutting to fit, assembling in the fitting profiles and installation yourself, we deliver the flap material on the roll.
We can supply both Vira and peroxide-vulcanised EPDM rubber.
