Heat energy usage can be reduced with efficient heat recovery. Pressure drop through lumber packages may have increased due to worn spacers. Air sealing may be poor. Coils may be clogged, and fans may have heavy deposits. The kiln structure may leak, wasting heat.
Doors may not seal properly.
