Wet Sensor Drum and System
To simplify wet temperature measurement, we recommend using a wet sensor drum.
A thermometer is mounted inside the drum, covered with a psychrometer cloth. Below the thermometer is a water bath that is refilled at regular intervals. The drum is insulated, but the connecting pipes must be insulated on-site.Pipe sections have flanges at the ends, joined with silicone gaskets for sealing.
One end of the system measures beyond the fans, and the other beyond the coils. This ensures continuous airflow through the system, allowing consistent wet temperature readings.
Dry temperature can also be measured in this system. Shut-off valves are installed on both sides of the drum to block airflow when needed. This improves safety by preventing hot kiln air from entering the drum when the lid is opened to replace the psychrometer cloth.
