Reversible Fan Wall

As the name suggests, this is a wall where multiple fan units are mounted.

Typically, three or four fan units are mounted vertically.
This type is most commonly used in chamber kilns with side-mounted machinery.

This model, which uses single-directional fan wheels, saves a significant amount of electricity—often around 100,000 kWh/year per kiln if four fans are mounted vertically. It is usually operated by a pneumatic rotary cylinder at floor level.

If possible, we recommend using an electric rotary unit mounted above, outside the kiln environment. Electric rotary units inside a lumber kiln tend not to last very long.

There is also a horizontal version of the reversible fan wall that can be mounted above the lumber in the kiln.
We currently do not offer this horizontal version, but we can develop a modern solution upon request.
