Collapse Guard

For chamber kilns without pressure frames, using a Collapse Guard is often an excellent idea. This guard is placed against the timber packages closest to the door and is designed to prevent timber collapse. When timber falls, it creates a serious workplace hazard with a high risk of personal injury as well as downtime and significant costs for repairs.

Our Solution:
With our system, you can use a Ratchet Strap that is secured inside the timber stacks and positioned under the packages before loading begins. Our Collapse Guard features a loop at the end facing the door, allowing a Ratchet Tensioner to be attached. Together with the strap, this enables you to tighten the guard as firmly as needed against the timber.

Even without the strap, our Collapse Guard works perfectly. However, when combined with the ratchet strap solution, the protection becomes significantly stronger and safer. The guard is easily lifted with a forklift and slid under the outermost lower timber package before the door is closed.
