Renovation / Rebuilding

Renovation focuses on restoring the kiln to its original condition.

Over time, components and the building itself wear down. Concrete structures may need repainting, and prefabricated elements require sealing to prevent moisture ingress. Leaking ventilation ducts can damage other equipment and must be addressed.

Machine components also wear out, and consumables like air sealing fabrics, psychrometer cloths, and nozzles often need replacement.
Leaks must be sealed to prevent moisture damage and energy loss.

Rebuilding goes beyond renovation.

It involves modifying the kiln’s original design—often necessary when drying requirements change.
Airflow may be too low, heating capacity may need to increase, or ventilation may need expansion.
Workplace safety may also need improvement.
Sometimes, an old single-zone channel kiln must be rebuilt into a two-zone kiln.
