Heating Pumps

Many pumps are used continuously at sawmills, especially for lumber kilns. Large circulation pumps are used in boiler systems, which are often extensive.

Each lumber kiln heated with boiler water has at least one control shunt for each heating coil circuit. It compensates for pressure drop through the coils, adjusts flow, and sometimes regulates temperature.
Shunts always include a circulation pump, and high-pressure steaming systems also require one.
