Cylinder Adapter for Pressure Frame

Since it’s difficult to source pneumatic cylinders with a flat flange that seals against the building, we’ve developed a flat adapter.

The shaft feedthrough is the same as used in the locking system. A pneumatic cylinder with a slightly longer piston rod runs through the feedthrough into the kiln.

This allows use of a simple, low-cost cylinder, as it doesn’t need to withstand the kiln environment. Our feedthrough handles the harsh conditions, using a metal scraper to clean deposits from the piston rod and protect the seal.
