Locking Equipment

We offer a solution to lock pressure frames in the lifted position, allowing safe and calm replacement or repair of leaking pneumatic cylinders.

In this setup, the cylinder connects to a piston rod extension that enters the kiln environment and is made of stainless steel. Since the cylinder seal is not exposed to the kiln, most sealing requirements are eliminated.

Instead, sealing occurs around the piston rod.
The sealing system includes:
• A metal scraper with a bronze wiper (to avoid stainless-on-stainless contact)
• A seal protected by the scraper
• A support ring
• A grease chamber
• A final scraper to prevent particle ingress
Seals must be lubricated, which is easily done at a comfortable working height using a grease gun or central lubrication system.
