Vertical Lift Door
A Vertical Lift Door operates as the name suggests, by lifting upward when opened. It is commonly used for channel/walking kilns and works best in automatically operated lumber kilns.
The door runs in side guides. On the sides of the door are pressure rollers that run inside the guide and enter another channel that leads toward the frame, creating a seal. For wider doors of this type, additional top-side pressing may be required.
This type of door may also require a Fall Protection system to prevent the door from falling in case of wire breakage or gear failure.
