Lumber Carts

Lumber carts are almost always used in channel/walking kilns and sometimes in chamber/batch kilns.

In channel kilns, a model adapted to the dimensions of the lumber packages is used. Typically, two or three packages are stacked vertically on the cart. This type of cart, called a PG Cart, is usually fed with the long side in the direction of movement, but often also with the short side.

For chamber kilns with cart feeding, a cart type commonly referred to as an E cart is used. This cart is loaded with all the lumber packages needed to fill the entire kiln at once.
